13.Nilesh: Feeding the 60 Poor in Difficult Times

Nilesh’s Generosity Story

Hi, Am Nilesh!!

As per me and my financial situation feeding the poor is not possible. But God in His mercy strengthened and enabled us.

This is what happened to me during the pandemic. While I was watching the news on TV and I saw thousands of people walking hundreds of mile to reach their homes from different states of India to survive. I saw many people starving for food, many had no waters and there are some good Samaritans who were providing them something to eat and drink.

While watching and reading some stories I felt like God is calling me to go out and bless some people. It was in the middle of July 2020, a time when the ministry organization that I was working with stopped our financial support. So it is difficult to feed the poor now but I prayed and ask God how this would be possible because I too have my family to take care now. This was the very first time in my 15 years of ministry where I had no financial support. God spoke to me through Proverbs 19:17 “Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will repay him for his deed”.

I stood up from prayer and talked to my wife about it and from next day we started preparing 15 food packets every week. Our desire was to bless at least 60 people who are on the streets or homeless with food packets every month. That’s what we are doing since July 2020 until today. Praise be to Him.

Will you accept the kindness challenge by doing a kindness project? We all love kind people who inspire kindness. These encouraging stories encourage us to be kind. As kind people, we should all use our power, riches, and wealth to love God and people. It’s time to return to love. Share your story today!
