Glory’s Generosity Story

I am Glory !!

When I was in bible college I had no money to go home for Christmas.

A friend gave me 1,000/- (about $20). Soon one of the housekeepers came through my office and shared that her daughter was getting married and that she needed money for the wedding. Immediately the Holy Spirit spoke to me to give her the 1,000/- I had just been given. I immediately gave it to the cleaning lady. This inspired other co-workers to be generous too. The housekeeper was so thankful. This blessed me a lot but I didn’t know how I would be able to go home for Christmas.

Later I went to the chapel service and the speaker literally asked those without funds for Christmas to please stand. Ten people stood and the speaker started making a list saying he wanted to share a gift with us a few days later.

In faith I sat down thinking I would surely be leaving for home before his gift arrived. The speaker noticed I sat down and asked me why. I explained I needed to leave for home before he returned and asked him to help the other students.

The speaker asked me to come forward and explained that while he was preparing his message the Holy Spirit had told him someone would need funds today. He said, “here this is for you” and asked me to take what was in his hands. It was 10,000/- (about $150). I was overwhelmed by God’s goodness!
